SpecSys, Inc. was responsible for the design and modification support to install a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) into a production Quad Trac Tractor. Efforts included; frame modifications, integration of the CVT controls, design of new drive shaft, modification to hydraulic system, CVT cooler, hose and tube routings and front and rear axle modifications.
This effort was completed using CREO CAD software, Ansys Finite Element Analysis software, and tested using our Dewesoft Data Acquisition System.
Prototype Manufacturing
Fabrication, machining, weld, paint, and assembly departments completed all aspects of the build, readying the unit for field testing of the Continuous Variable Transmission and Controls.
This effort was completed in our Granite Falls facility.
